3 December 2008 mefro wheels GmbH ("mefro wheels") - Acquisition of shares in Titan Europe plc

Following its acquisition of 20,538,853 ordinary shares in Titan Europe plc ("Titan Europe") representing

a 24.8 per cent. interest, mefro wheels announces that it is not currently considering making an offer

for Titan Europe. For the purposes of Rule 2.8 and other relevant provisions of The City Code on Takeovers

and Mergers ("City Code"), mefro wheels reserves the right to announce an offer or possible offer or

make or participate in an offer or possible offer for Titan Europe and/or take any other action which would

otherwise be restricted under Rule 2.8 of the City Code at any time within the next six months in the event

that: (i) an agreement or recommendation from the Board of Titan Europe is forthcoming; or (ii) there is an

announcement by a third party of a possible offer or a firm intention to make an offer for or a merger with

Titan Europe or Titan Europe announces that it has received an approach in relation to a possible offer from

a third party; or (iii) Titan Europe undertakes or announces an intention to undertake any material recapitalisation

or security issue (where material is defined as 10 per cent. of the equity market capitalisation on the date of

this announcement) or any acquisition, disposal, merger, joint venture, scheme of arrangement or other

transaction involving in any such case a material amount of its business (where "material amount" is as

defined in Note 2 on Rule 21.1 of the City Code); or (iv) Titan Europe announces a whitewash proposal for

the purposes of Rule 9 of the City Code or a reverse takeover; or (v) there is a material change in circumstances.
